Happened to me again. I replied to an email message, only to realize that the message had been forwarded to me. The person who got the message was not the one I thought was going to get it. My message, well to put it bluntly, was not uplifting for the one who read it. He graciously wrote me back and said he was not taking this personally. He also chided me a bit, quite appropriately.
Why do I do something like that? Should I blame the technology (a knee-jerk reaction), or should I look deeper into my heart and
put the blame where it ought to be — squarely on my shoulders for writing something that I should not have. In the book of James we read some words about the dangers of the tongue. You know, I’m pretty careful about what I say. If James were writing to me, he would probably say don’t use your fingers to write, or your heart to even think dumb things.
Maybe you can learn from me. I’m a great teacher!
